WELCOME TO SHAN TUNG MANTIS KUNG FU ASSOCIATION

We are able to provide a full range of traditional martial arts to members of all ages in and around East Bridgford.

The aim of the Shan Tung Mantis Kung Fu Association is to promote the traditional Chinese Martial Art of Northern Praying Mantis as well as all of it�s benefits.

Traditionally Kung Fu was an activity that was taught to family members only and at the Shan Tung Mantis Kung Fu Association, we try and follow these traditions by promoting a family atmosphere and an open attitude to training that will help students to develop and reach their full potential.

Association

The Shan Tung Mantis Kung Fu Association is headed by Sifu David Graham and is under the guidance of Master Alexander Tse Wing Ming from Hong Kong.

Insurance

All instructors within the association are insured and registered with the British Council for Chinese Martial Arts (BCCMA) which is a governing body recognized by the British Sports Council

Lion Dancing

Sifu Graham is also part of the BCCMA�s Traditional Kung Fu, Lion & Dragon Dancing committee. The reason for choosing the name Shan Tung Mantis is two fold; one reason is out of respect for my teacher, Sifu Alexander Tse Wing Ming who not only has studied Seven Star Praying Mantis but also Northern Mantis and Tai Chi Praying Mantis. The name Shan Tung is also the region from which the art of Praying mantis originated from.
